No, within the current logic, it is an all or nothing approach. You either share it to all, or you don't share it at all.
If an applicant clicks on 'Yes' to authorize CaRMS to share their QE1 with programs, and then 'yes' to the questions afterwards (no matter the result) their score/status will be added to their application profile, which is automatically assigned to all programs as part of their application.
As the QE1 is not a base requirement for subspecialty matches; the applicant has two options:
- Click 'yes' to sharing with programs on the PA page, but then click 'no' on all 3 questions that follow. This will show the date the applicant took the exam, and it will be written that the applicant decided not to share the result. Then, the applicant can assign the QE1 Results document to the programs who require the score and document, and avoid it being available to all programs.
- Click 'yes' to sharing on the PA page, and then, yes to the following 3 questions. This means the date and score will show up on their application PDF to all programs they apply to as part of their applicant profile.
There is no currently no way around this. IT is aware of this issue, and they are working on how this logic will work in the future to allow applicants to decide what they share/not share for elements that are not base requirements for match eligibility.
