A USMG wants to apply to a particular stream program in second iteration but has no citizenship status in Canada, what is the process?

If an applicant has no citizenship status in Canada (is not a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident) when they are registering for the R-1 match - second iteration, the applicant needs to: 

1. Select the following for their citizenship status: Canadian visa/permit holder without a submitted application for permanent residency in Canada
2. Send an email to operations@carms.ca immediately following registration to inform them, they have registered with this status.

 Once Operations has received this email notification, they will take the following actions: 

1. Update the applicant’s citizenship status
2. Send the attendance verification form for the applicant’s UG to complete
3. Review the verification form once it is returned
4. Complete the applicant’s registration should there be no concerns
5. Flag the applicant’s account where they can only apply to programs in the particular stream
6. Issue the applicant their token

Once all these steps have been taken and the applicant receives their token they can start to work on their applications.

Please note: USMGs without MCC exams, IVP, Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status can still apply to the particular stream programs offered in Quebec however Operations needs to take additional steps and therefore an applicant in this situation, should reach out to operations@carms.ca directly.
