Finance - what is the refund policy for applicants if a program is removed from the match after file review has begun?

When a program is no longer participating in the match and remove their quota entirely after file review:  

  1. The PGME office must remove the program’s participation in CaRMS Online. The program’s description, as well as quota, is then removed from our website.
  2. An e-mail is sent to all applicants who have applied,letting them know the program is no longer participating in the match and that any questions they may have can be forwarded to the postgrad office. 
  3. Our policy is that we do not refund application fees after file review has begun as the service has been rendered. If we receive any inquiries from applicants about refunds, we typically refer them to the faculty as it is their decision to make, but our policy is clear.
