Requesting a translation in Asana
How do I create a translation request in Asana?
- Create a new task in the Translation project or link an existing task/sub-task to the Translation project (see video for demonstration of these two options). No need to assign the task to anyone – assignment is automatic.
- Add a due date.
- Complete the following data fields:
- Priority
- Word count (enter approximate number of words – optional, but helpful where possible)
- Work type
- Add the following elements to the ticket description:
- Link to the material to be translated (no attachments).
- Exception: short translation requests can be pasted directly into the task.
- Enter a note if you would like the translation added to the same document as the English – otherwise it will be uploaded to the task as a separate file when complete.
- Any additional context or background information required to ensure accurate translation
How do I know the translation is complete?
The task will be marked as complete, and you will be tagged in the completed task
